Philipp Gutzwiller is the founder and Managing Partner of CFS Advisors LLP. He has extensive experience in corporate finance, investment banking and M&A with a particular focus on companies in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. He advises companies on financing rounds, M&A transactions and strategic issues and supports them in growth and transformation processes. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of a listed pharmaceutical company, where he contributes his financial and strategic expertise to the company’s management.

Philipp Gutzwiller grew up in the Basel region and gained his first professional experience in finance at Roche. However, he has now lived and worked in London for over 25 years, where he held senior positions at the Japanese bank Mizuho, Lloyds Bank, DC Advisory and UBS before becoming self-employed. He has led international teams in Europe, the USA and Asia, focussing on the healthcare, consumer and retail sectors. He has worked on a large number of M&A and financing mandates with a total volume of several billion USD for clients in Europe, Japan and the USA.

Philipp Gutzwiller studied economics at the University of Basel and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
