Dr. Roland A. Pfister is Tax Counsel at Hoffman & Partner and a member of various Boards of Directors and Foundations. His practice focuses on Swiss and international tax law, with particular expertise in tax compliance for financial institutions, wealth planning for high-net-worth individuals and corporate entities, and the taxation of international investment structures, including private equity structures, funds, trusts and partnerships. He also advises private and institutional investors on complex cross-border tax matters.

Before joining Hoffman & Partners, Dr. Roland A. Pfister worked as Tax Counsel in a medium-size firm with offices in Zurich and Zug and before that as an Associate and then council in an international corporate and tax law firm, Geneva. He also gained international experience at a Big Four in Zurich and Geneva, in an international law firm in Brussels and in a leading investment bank based in Zurich. Finally, Dr. Pfister worked with the University of Liechtenstein and the Liechtenstein government on various projects relating to national and international tax law and the OECD-compliant positioning of Liechtenstein’s financial center.

Dr. Roland A. Pfister holds a PhD in International Tax Law from the University of Neuchâtel, where he graduated summa cum laude, and an Executive MBA in Wealth Management from the University of Liechtenstein. He was also a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School.
